Your camera

Nictavia uses your camera to see your eyelids. The video is analysed inside your browser, on your device, and thrown away about thirty times a second. It is never recorded, never uploaded, never stored. A check built into the software fails the build if this ever changes.

Your words

What you write, say and save, your contacts and your settings are stored on your device only. We do not have a copy. You can export all of it, or erase all of it, at any time from Settings → Privacy & data in the app.

When something leaves your device

Only when you ask it to:

• Calling for help sends your message, your name and your contacts' details to our server in the EU so it can email, text and notify them at once. We keep that record for 24 hours.
• Mail passes your mail login and messages through our server to your own email provider. We do not keep them.
• Text messages are sent through an SMS provider. Replies are held on our server until you erase them.
• Reading fetches news and books through our server, so publishers never see your device.
• Suggestions (AI) are off unless you turn them on. If you do, the text of messages you receive and some things you have said are sent to an AI service in the European Union to draft replies. It does not keep your text. You can turn it off at any time.

No tracking

No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts — in the app or on this site.

Consent

You agree by blinking through the first-run screens, or a legal guardian may agree on your behalf; who agreed and when is recorded on your device.

Your rights

Access, export, correction and erasure are built into the app. For anything else write to [email protected]. You may complain to the Polish supervisory authority (UODO). Operator: Opsionic, Warsaw, Poland.
