Accessibility statement
Nictavia is built to be usable by people who can move only their eyelids, and by the helpers, clinicians and families around them.
Conformance target
WCAG 2.2 Level AA for this website; the app follows the same criteria where they apply to a scanning interface operated without a pointer.
What we do
- Full keyboard operation, a skip link, one heading per page, landmarks, live regions for dynamic text.
- Text contrast at least 4.5:1 and control boundaries at least 3:1, measured; one accent colour; dark and light themes; reduced-motion and high-contrast preferences respected.
- In the app: targets at least 80 px, type at least 20 px, nothing flashing above 3 Hz, a continuous (non-flashing) progress bar, an optional audio tick, and every screen escapable by eyelid alone — verified automatically on every build.
- Automated audits (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 AA) run on every page in our build.
Known limitations
- Human screen-reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver) is planned before public launch.
- The app’s setup wizard and helper forms are in English only; Polish is available on the daily screens.
